Programme Requirements for 2024/25 Session

Not all modules are available every year. Choice is also subject to timetable constraint and an equal number of credits being taken in each semester. The following must be taken:
Students choose 80 credits of optional modules. Optional modules: Students must choose TWO 20-credit options in Semester 1 AND TWO 20-credit options in Semester 2. This may include up to 40 credits of appropriate level ancient language modules and/or ONE 20-credit Professional or Future Skills module. Optional modules: Credits must be evenly balanced between semesters. Optional modules: All optional lists are indicative; not all modules will run each year depending on staff availability. History Options (Semester 2) History Options. List A (Semester 1) History Options (Semester 1) Students may choose ONE 20-credit option in Semester 1 AND/ OR ONE 20-credit option in Semester 2. Students may also take the following in place of one of their optional 20-credit modules in either CAHA or History:
OR Students may also apply to undertake a Professional Skills module at level I. If successful this will be taken in place of 20 credits of taught modules. The credits to be dropped will be discussed with the programme convenor. The placement can be taken either during the summer vacation (part-time or full-time) or during semester 1 (part-time only). The placement must be completed prior to the Christmas vacation. Students undertaking a Professional Skills module at level I will not be able to undertake a Professional Skills module at level H.
